Our Concerts

These are the main events all choir students participate in throughout the year. Our intermediate and advance choirs also attend one or two competitions. Along with these, we also do community events and school functions throughout the year. Be sure to check the calendar for dates and times.

All School Musical

As the name implies, all students at McAuliffe are able to try out for lead roles. However, the choir students take on the responsibility of the chorus. We collaborate with drama, art, instrumental music, computers, and others to put on this production. It is a school-wide event and allows students to learn collaboration, story telling, character development, and performance skills.

Winter Concert

In this concert we feature Show Choir. Students will work on singing and dancing, as well as performance and story telling. The show choir sets performed at this concert will be perfected and taken to competitions around Southern California during the months of March and April.

All District Choral Festival

This is a favorite event of the year for most people. Every choir in the district performs at this event. It features a combined choir from all six elementary schools; every choir from Oak and McAuliffe Middle Schools; all of the Los Alamitos High School choirs; a combined number for ALL of the boys in the district 4th-12th grades, and the National Champions Sound FX. It is not to be missed.

Performing arts festivaL

This was a new event last year and was such a success we're doing it again. It involves multiple departments at McAuliffe including choir, band and art. More details to come.

kNOTT'S bERRY FARM

This is a fun event for the students to get used to performing in large crowds and get to enjoy the park. More details to come

ANGELS GAME

Some of the choirs will get an opportunity to perform the Star Spangled Banner on the field before an Angels game with other choirs in Southern California. Date TBD
