Hello, Choir Families,
We had yet another amazing week in choir. The students got to learn choreography with Kylie and special guest, Dillon. Their competition shows are starting to come together and they are working hard to make sure the vocals and choreography are really clean. The upper groups are also preparing for our concert with Xquisite and Xtreme. Ticket information on that show is available below. I told the students that they will have 9 days to perfect all of their music and choreography, or 9 days to forget all of it. Their choices will determine how we can proceed when we return. Please encourage them to get on their Google Classroom and review throughout the week.
On a personal note, I wanted to let you know how grateful I am for this community! As many of you know, my son had a hard week and we were both overwhelmed with support. The sixth graders especially really rallied around us both.
Make A Wish
As I mentioned last week, you raised over $1K for Make A Wish. This put them over the top and has allowed them to grant their 7th wish! Thank you again to our wonderful choir community.
Xquisite and Xtreme
Studio Singers, Soul Men, and Sound Waves will be performing at the high school choir concert December 5th and 7th. Information about their upcoming performance at the Los Al Holiday show was sent home on Tuesday. I sent home a neon green paper with times and costume information. They will attend the dress rehearsal on Dec. 4th at 4:00pm in costume. Ladies will perform with Xquisite at the Thursday night show and boys will perform with Xtreme at the Saturday matinee. This is an optional performance, but highly recommended and also really fun! Students who attend will receive extra credit. Black Friday (Wednesday) Shopping!
McAuliffeChoir.com has new merch! We are taking preorders for flannel pants, flannel shorts, and sweatshirts. These make great holiday gifts, so pre-order by Wednesday to get them in time for winter break. If you order after the 27th they will be delivered in January when we return.
Raise Right Bonus Deals
Speaking of Black Friday, Raise Right will be running bonus deals all week. So before you hit the mall, go on Raise Right and get those gift cards. (Sephora is 9.5%, Ulta and Dicks are 12% today FYI) You can use your earnings to pay choir dues, order merch, or pay for the Knott’s trip in February. Or, if you’re all paid up you can just keep earning and roll it over to next school year.
