Hello Choir Families,
Congratulations to our Lip Sync winners 1st place Anthem and Ellis, 2nd place Clara and Grace, and 3rd place Nesia and Maddie. Thank you to all who support this fun event.
Our concert is right around the corner. Students will get a detailed information sheet next week that we will go over in class and they will have a worksheet to go with it. Costume day is Tuesday and they will need a garment bag or zip up duffle to keep all of their shoe attire in. Please label the bag with their first and last name and make sure it zips closed. Costume attire is listed below.
Tickets will go on sale Wednesday for benefactors and will open to the public on Friday. The show is two nights so you can volunteer one night and watch the other.

Solo Auditions
If you would like to sing a special solo at the concert, your video is due on the Google Classroom by Wednesday. These will be placed in between acts and can be any song from a musical (movie or Broadway).
Practice at home
As the level of our performers continues to rise, it is becoming increasingly obvious who is practicing at home and who is not. Please encourage your student to be reviewing choreography, lyrics, and vocals as part of their normal homework routine. Just a few minutes a day will go a long way.
Sight Reading Tests
The students have been learning how to sight read over the first quarter. This week they will take their first written test, followed by a vocal test on Google Classroom. (Studio took their written test Thursday this week, and their vocal test is due on Classroom this Thursday)

Lead Parents for Sound Waves and Soul Men:
We are still in need of lead parents for both Sound Waves and Soul Men. You will help organize social events, snacks for rehearsals, and help chaperone shows and competitions.

You can stop in for a fitting or if you know your daughter's size you can call ahead and pick up. Alexis (shop owner) is also stocking black shorts, tights, and strapless bras so you can get all of that in one stop if you choose.

The boosters will be supplying some of the costume pieces, and students will provide the rest. If you find you have extra of anything, please consider sending that in so we make sure everyone has what they need.
